It was great but it took us a very long time to get a reservation. Was it worth the wait? No. Was it still fantastic. Absolutely.

Food is overrated. The big thing that everyone loves is the braised lamb, which does not taste any different to any other braised red meat that I've had elsewhere. Sure you can braise it and age it for however long, but the end taste is roughly about the same. The service however is exceptional. The starting small dishes were interesting, and the dessert pastries there were amazing.

Amazing food. Incredible service. Overall outstanding dining experience! We had a party of 8 and were treated like we were at family dinner. Everything was delicious, full of flavor, and we left extremely happy. We will definitely go back. It's absolutely worth the wait for the reservation period. I've posted just a few photos. We had so much food, there was no way to stop and photograph everything.

Zahav is quite the inspiring treat. Creative and tasty dishes along with amazing service (thanks Leah!). Plan in advance with a reservation because the first come bar seating can take over an hour for two. Will be back often.

The service was exceptional! We got there at 4pm to put our name in and they let us in early and gave us complementary hot cocoa (also the best hot cocoa I’ve ever had). We got seated at the bar at 4:45 and Chris the bartender was incredible. If you’re willing to spend more get the chef choice tasting menu. Every bite was a new experience. Chris made the us the best cocktails I’ve ever had. You can tell they put their heart and soul into the food and service to make every customer happy.

Questions & Answers

Make it Kosher!!!

I too have been trying to book for special events. I tried for our 25th and my husband's birthday. They are so swamped that they never called or emailed to offer a table. I finally called them to figure out why it is so difficult to secure a seating and I was told that you must book 2 months in advance. I hope this helps and happy anniversary.

Call and ask!

At your house or hotel and take public transportation!

Zahav is a very busy restaurant. Sometimes you need to book months in advance. If you stand in line for the bar when they open, it's possible to get bar seating. I did this the last time I was there. Food is still great at the bar.

Kosher available upon request. Check with the chef.

You have to ask for kosher, most on the menu is not

Street parking or paid lot.

The prices are like most restaurants of this type - there are individual options (with prices on each dish) but there's also a tasting menu available for a fixed price. So it can be either, depending on how you order.

You can order whatever is on the menu, one-off.
